Our volunteer groups carry out interesting and varied conservation tasks throughout York and surrounding areas. This is a great chance to learn skills, make friends and enjoy being outdoors whilst carrying out practical work to help improve places for people and the environment.
Step back in time - gardening in the Middle Ages.
Join the Fairy Trail at the picnic area to learn about the nature and vision of the trail. Bushcraft and foraging fun - learn some new nature skills!!
Walk along the Solar System route and riverside path to Naburn Lock. Bring picnic or buy tea / lunch at Tea-by-the-Lock.
Come and see the new Community Garden in Haxby, with activities for children or just have a look around and enjoy the space.
Wellbeing in York Museum Gardens Discover the beauty of York Museum Gardens – come and ponder, share in creative art journaling or add to our landscape art.
