Trade Deals and Climate Justice

Event Description

This session will outline key features of contemporary trade deals and how they block climate action. There is a lack of democratic oversight of trade policy in the UK. Many citizens are unaware of how trade deals limit our ability to tackle the climate crisis. We will explore how campaigners are acting locally as part of a global movement to challenge trade agreements that prioritise corporate profit over climate justice; and how to get involved.
