Kimberlow Hill and Diamond Wood Project

Event Description

Our aims are to enhance re-wilding by habitat building and improvement on the site, plant more trees on the Hill and also to reclaim and recycle as many plastic tree planting tubes , stakes and cable ties as possible. Many of these materials can be reused on other projects that we already have going, and plan to do in the future. We have permission from York University to work on this land. This is a drop-in session so people can come and go as they wish. Gloves, spades etc are provided.

The postcode for Kimberlow Hill is YO10 5LA.    The postcode will take you to the Shopping and Medical Centre Precinct car park.  From that car park it is a short climb up the embankment to Kimberlow Hill itself. A number 6 Bus will take you to the terminus at the University, which is just around the corner from the shopping precinct. A rickshaw will be parked on the Hill within sight of the car park, with Hi Viz Vests on it. We will be there unless the weather is very severe!
