Nature walk on University of York Campus

A guided visit to the campuses of the University of York, wonderful green spaces in York for wildlife.
The lakes attract birds and dragonflies, with meadowland for wild flowers and butterflies, and Peregrine falcons bred here for the first time in 2024.
We will look for newly arrived wintering birds, as well as late butterflies and flowers. Bring footwear for wet ground and binoculars, if you have them. Accessible by bus, parking free at weekends. Families welcome.
We’ll meet on the footpath from Field Lane to Heslington Church. Booking is required.
