Climate Crisis and Rising Prices: York Community Energy AGM

Event Description

Join us for the York Community Energy 2022 AGM as we explore the idea of using low-carbon solutions to tackle the energy price rises with special guest speaker Jan Rosenow*, renowned energy expert at the Regulatory Assistance Project. Jan has a particular interest in energy efficiency and heat pumps, and is currently writing a research paper on striking the right balance between the two.

In addition to Jan, we will be hearing from YCE Chair Tom de Simone about our activities from the past year, and plans for the year ahead. We will also be turning to the audience for a discussion about the current energy crisis – how people are feeling and what we can do about it.

And of course, we will be having our usual elections for the Board of Directors. If anyone would like to stand for election, particularly anyone with a finance background, please do get in touch.
